Since a long time ago while BFF and me were in JC, we always talked about going on a trip together but it was only after... 6 years *GASP* that we managed to finally fix a trip away to Bangkok
twogether!! =DD
| Small police dog |
| Big police dog |
I like the fact that dogs are allowed in the airport. But then this is their police dog.. hehehe.
Bumped into another JC classmate LLLLL! She was with her group of girlfriends to Bangkok too!
| What a small world! |
Parted ways with them cause BFF and I chosed to be adventurous and we took the express train line from the airport straight to the station nearby our hotel! Much cheaper than taking the taxi and we can avoid any possible jams on their roads too! Plus since there were only 2 of us, we didn't really want to risk being transported to some other district..
| Express line from BKK airport to Town! |
| Very clean and new seats |
| Peace |
After we got off at the express line to change to the right station, we were lost for abit!
| Interchange! |
| BTS train |
So we took a Tuk-tuk only to realise we were walking around in circles because the hotel was just 5 min walk from the main street!
| Compulsory transport to try! |
Finally we reached The Residence! Quite a hidden place!
| Looks grim on the outside... |
| but very lush greenery as you walk in! |
| Our favourite guest attendant there |
| BFF at her best art ;) |
| Nice bathroom |
| Newly renovated |
Their deluxe room was very nice since it was only recently upgraded and renovated. But some incident had to happen which resulted to us being downgraded to Standard room for the second night LOL. I didn't have the mood to take any photos for any comparison because their standard room is dot. dot. dot.
| Errr.. fish watching while you eat? |
One good thing about The Residence is that they offer free buggy service to Siam Paragon by this back alley secret road that only takes like 30s for us to go back and fro!! (not including waiting time for the buggy of around 5 - 10min)
We ate mainly at the basement of Siam Paragon which have plenty of restaurants and stalls and there were too many options!!!
| Cuttlefish W-SHAPED PUPILS?! |
| Pad Thai |
| Our favourite salad there!! |
| Mango Sticky Rice! |
| Thai donut! |
| pork pork pork |
| Love the pork |
| Chiang Mai sausage |
| Hokkaido Milk that taste exactly like Marigold milk |
| MOST popular award goes to them! |
Their Krispy Kreme had like the longest queue in the whole of the mall so I decided to miss the chance to try it!
Charged and refreshed, we headed for shopping at Platinum and basically spent most of the time in there because it was freaking crowded and busy!!!
| SHOPPING! |
I got really excited to see everything and forgot about taking photos of the huge crowd until we got to rest our feet at the top level.
| Crazy crowd in Platinum food court |
Because the food court was so crowded and we were getting restless from all the shopping, we decided to just eat KFC instead of queueing and deciding which stall to buy from!
| KFC in bangkok. kua kua kua... |
And then it was a walk about the area and a visit to Bangkok's most popular temple!
| Always crowded |
| The beautiful dancers while people pray |
There was surprisingly very little spas or massage places around the shopping area! Only found this and another spa in Central world and I didn't really enjoy my massage. My whole neck and leg was itching after the massage.. probably due to the oil they use.
| Relax time...not? |
And since it's the last night in Bangkok, we indulge ourselves in the lovely desserts at the restaurant cafes.
I love that Siam Paragon has so many dessert shops! I simply went crazy wanting to eat everything hohoho..
| My eyes lighted up! |
| WAAA... |
| Excited for my GIANT MACAROON WITH HAZELNUT CREAM! |
| Very yummy! |
| OOHH. |
| BFF's opera cake also not bad! |
And then straight to the dessert shop opposite!
| Paris Paris! |
| Really nice eiffel towers |
| Plenty of desserts!! |
| Chocolate always good for me.. |
| Lovely strawberry cake! |
| Happy =D |
And then we went to Amici for MORE DESSERTS LOL!
| More atas than others |
| Drinks were average but the desserts... |
| Creme Caramel |
| Tiramisu |
SO DAMM happy to be hopping around the restaurants for dessert! HEHEHE. Plus the staff from ALL 3 restaurant cafes were really hospitable and friendly to us!
| Great chilling session! |
After a really full tummy, with the sugar rush in our body, we did the last activity at SIAM Square night market!
| Look who we met! |
| Siam Square night market |
Didn't really enjoy the night market because it was too squeezy and BFF got really tired so we headed back after 1 round of the stalls and it was fun watching MTV show titled Awkward and trying on whatever we bought and having a girly session with mask on our face! =DD
PS: At least the bed in standard room was still comfy enough to give me a good night sleep.
We took taxi this time round to BKK airport and there was the really beautiful sunrise...
| =D |
| Hello from Paris! That's eiffel tower! Neh! there!! |
Ok dreaming. I wish to be in Paris one day taking glamorous photos with the eiffel tower.
| Beautiful morning |
| Really nice decor in the airport! |
| Had mango sticky rice again! |
| 150B |
| Nice |
Thailand have the most amazing mangoes. No matter where we buy the mango sticky rice from, the mango is always so deliciously sweet and juicy!!!
| I'm going home.. |
| Colourful! |
| =) |
Had a great time eating and shopping in Bangkok with BFF!! The next time I visit, I MUST GO TO TIGER TEMPLE!
